If your vehicle is over a year old, the paint may show signs of wear such as swirls, scratches, and fading, detracting from its overall appearance.

At Shell Car Care, our treatment process is designed to restore your car's paint to a smooth, flawless, and uniform finish. Through our detailed 4-step procedure, we address imperfections and enhance the visual appeal of your vehicle.

Step 1: Thorough Wash

Over time, your car's surface can lose its shine and gloss due to the accumulation of grease, carbon pollutants, and other contaminants.

At Shell Car Care, we employ advanced cleaning techniques and premium products to effectively eliminate these oily and dirty layers. Our degreasing washes, foam washes, and specialized cleaning agents ensure that your vehicle's surface is thoroughly cleansed, providing the perfect foundation for our detailing process.

Step 2: Clay Bar Treatment

This treatment used to remove embedded contaminants from the surface of a vehicle's paint. It involves gently rubbing a specially formulated clay bar over the paint surface, which effectively lifts and pulls out contaminants such as dirt, tar, tree sap, industrial fallout, and even some types of oxidation.

Step 3: Exterior Detailing

Exterior Detailing encompasses a comprehensive cleaning and rejuvenation process that goes beyond a standard car wash. This includes:- Cleaning of Chrome Parts, Logos and Emblems, Edges and Trims, Rubber Beadings, Engine Bay, Alloy Wheels, Door Jams, Wheel Wells and Tyres.

Step 4: Paint Correction

Compounding and Polishing work synergistically to rejuvenate the paintwork and create a smooth, glossy surface free from defects. This meticulous process requires expertise, attention to detail, and the use of high-quality products and equipment to achieve optimal results. By effectively addressing paint defects, paint correction restores the visual aesthetics of the vehicle and enhances its overall appearance and value. This is usually a 2 step process, but sanding of some parts may be done if required.

Step 5: Synthetic Paint Sealant Application

After Paint Correction step, we use a PTFE-based Meguiars synthetic paint sealant, which contains polytetrafluoroethylene, a highly durable and resilient material known for its non-stick properties. This sealant forms a strong bond with the paint surface, creating a protective barrier that repels water, dirt, and other pollutants, while also enhancing the paint's shine and depth.
